Privacy and cookie policy

Principles for handling enquiries, using cookies and analytics, managing consent and protecting information on kononov.dev.

Updated: 5 October 2026. This policy explains what information kononov.dev processes, why it is needed and how to manage your consent.

Responsibility and contact

Dmitriy Kononov is responsible for handling enquiries. For privacy questions, access, correction, deletion or withdrawal of consent, use the contact page. Mention that your request concerns your information.

Information we process

When you enquire, you provide your name, contact details, task description and any optional project information you choose to include. The time of submission, your consent and available information about the source of your visit are also recorded.

Using the site may involve processing technical visit information: page addresses, referral sources, actions on the site, time, browser and device information, and network address. This supports site operation, protection against misuse and traffic analysis.

Do not submit passwords, access keys, health information, other people's personal information or confidential documents that are unnecessary for an initial discussion.

Purposes and consent

Enquiry information is used to reply, clarify your task, prepare a preliminary estimate and discuss working together. Optional fields can be left blank. Submitting the form requires a separate confirmation of consent to store and process the information you provide for these purposes.

If you choose a meeting, its time, timezone and the contact from your enquiry are used for booking and an invitation. This action requires a separate confirmation in the booking interface.

Enquiry consent applies only to information submitted in the form and does not subscribe you to advertising. Basic visit analytics runs independently of acknowledging the cookie notice or optional preferences. Cookie buttons apply to the optional personalization described in settings; they do not disable basic visit analytics or authorize unrelated processing purposes.

Cookies and preferences

The site uses cookies and similar ways of remembering settings. Necessary storage supports requested features and remembers your preferences. Analytics storage and visit measurements are used when you visit the site to understand useful content, referral sources and how well the site works.

Contact details, enquiry text and the detailed brief are excluded from analytics events. Visit measurement does not authorize advertising profiling or using an enquiry for unrelated purposes.

The notice and current categories are available through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Your choice, acknowledgment, version and time are saved in the browser and by the site. This record contains no contact information or enquiry text. Optional personalization remembers your selected booking timezone only with your permission. You can allow it, decline it or change your choice in settings. The choice is valid for 12 months, after which it is requested again. Declining optional personalization clears the saved timezone without disabling basic analytics. New categories will be explained and permission requested separately; an earlier choice does not authorize them. Browser settings can restrict or remove cookies; this may affect site functionality.

Access and recipients

Enquiries are accessible to the person responsible for handling them and authorised participants who need access to reply and discuss your project. Storage, communication, security and analytics service providers may support the site. Information is shared to the extent needed for the relevant purpose; analytics services are used for the visit measurement described above.

Providers and processing methods may change within the stated purposes, information categories and consent conditions. Information may be processed in another country; applicable legal requirements are considered when choosing the terms of that processing. This policy does not permit unrestricted expansion of how your information is used.

Chat conversations

You can share your name, email, project description and follow-up messages in the chat. Before sending contact details, you separately consent to processing your enquiry and conversation. Automatic prompts help collect the project details; Dmitriy's replies are displayed separately. Messages are used to respond and discuss working together. Their contents are excluded from analytics events.

Conversation history is stored by the site. A necessary functional cookie keeps access available in the same browser for up to 30 days. Clearing cookies or reaching this limit ends browser access; it does not delete your enquiry. Entering an email address alone cannot restore a conversation. Do not send secrets or confidential information that is unnecessary for the discussion.

Submitted enquiries and messages follow the retention rules below. Unsubmitted conversations with contact details may be removed after browser access expires during site maintenance. To request deletion or withdraw consent, use the contact page.

Retention and protection

Enquiries are retained to consider your task and continue correspondence. Retention depends on whether discussions continue, whether a record of agreements is needed and whether applicable law requires retention. Enquiries are not currently deleted automatically; you can request deletion through the contact page.

Protection includes restricted access, secure transmission and backups. Deleted information may remain temporarily in backups until the next scheduled cleanup. The usual backup retention cycle is approximately two weeks. Technical record retention depends on operational and security needs; no single automatic retention period is established for these records. Your optional cookie preference is valid for 12 months, unless changed or cleared earlier in your browser.

Your choices and rights

You can request information about your enquiry, correction or deletion, and withdraw consent to further processing. Provide the contact used for your enquiry so it can be located. Do not attach identity documents unless separately needed.

Withdrawal does not undo processing performed beforehand. If particular information must be retained by law, the reason and extent will be explained in the reply. Send requests through the contact page.

Preliminary estimates and changes

An estimate provided after submission is an initial guide. It does not replace discussion and is not a contract or a guarantee of price or timing. Final terms are agreed separately. Successful form submission confirms acceptance of your enquiry, rather than a meeting booking or the start of work.

Changing technical tools within these rules does not itself change processing purposes. If purposes, information collected or material processing conditions change, the policy will be updated and additional consent requested where needed. Do not use the site for spam, disclosure of other people's secrets or violations of others' rights.
