Python script: API data processed to a spec
A Python script for a Liverpool client that downloads data through an API and processes it to a detailed requirements document. Upwork, Dec 2022, 5.0.
The client's brief
George Griffiths, based in Liverpool, sent a short job description with a detailed requirements document. He needed a Python script that downloads data through an API and then manipulates it according to the rules in that document.
What was built
I wrote a script that pulls the data from the API and transforms it as the requirements describe. The job took a few days at the end of December 2022. In his review, the client says the code was clean, it was delivered on time and the solution was exactly what he asked for. He also called the task complex, one for an experienced Python programmer.
Where this fits
A script like this helps when data from an outside service does not arrive in the shape your team works with. A detailed requirements document is especially useful here: it pins down the transformation rules and makes the result easy to check.

What the client said
- 5.0
Very happy with Dmitrii's work. He created clean python code, and delivered on time. The solution was exactly what I asked for. Very good freelancer and I would definitely recommend. I gave Dmitrii a complex task that only experienced/advanced python programmers can solve, and he solved my problem professionally, with no major issues.
