Connect the interface to daily operations
A polished interface matters. So does the handoff after a customer submits a request. Who receives it? Which system owns the status? What can the customer change?
I approach websites, portals and mobile applications as part of a business system. I plan the customer journey together with the work it creates for the business.
Portals, mobile apps and their operational connections
- A customer portal with clear roles and statuses.
- A mobile application for a specific customer task.
- CRM and document connections that carry the request forward.
- An initial release with explicit boundaries and a plan for improvement.
Choose one process for the first release
The first release should let a customer complete one useful task, with the team able to receive and act on the result. We define what is included, what remains manual and which exceptions need a human. Get an initial estimate in the detailed form. We’ll agree the scope and final price after discussing the project.
See the car rental platform project, then explore planning a first customer portal and questions to ask before building a rental app.
The custom application page describes the development path in more detail. When a customer request becomes team work, it needs agreed CRM handoffs and API contracts.
